How Ready Set Smog handles the information you send us.
Last reviewed September 30, 2026.
What we collect
When you send an appointment request we collect what the form asks for: your name, phone number, optional email address, the vehicle's year, make, model and fuel type, your reason for visiting, your preferred date and time of day, any note you add, whether you selected the new-client offer, and whether you opted in to marketing messages. We also record which page the request came from.
We do not ask for and do not want your VIN, driving licence, payment card details or any government-issued identifier through this website.
Why we use it
To contact you about your appointment request, confirm a time, and prepare for your visit. If you ticked the optional marketing box, we may also send occasional offers — leaving it unticked does not stop us contacting you about your appointment.
Who can see it
Appointment requests are stored in a private database record that is not readable from this website by visitors. Access is limited to the shop and the technical service providers that host this site and its database, who process the data on our behalf. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep appointment requests for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, then remove them. You can ask us to delete your request details sooner.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not run advertising trackers. No analytics service is configured at present, so no usage events are sent anywhere.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or opt out of marketing messages at any time. Use the contact page to reach us.
Inspection records
Smog inspection results are reported to the State of California as the smog check programme requires. That reporting is separate from this website and is governed by state rules, not by this policy.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update the review date at the top of this page.
