Smog check in San Diego
A test-only smog station serving drivers across San Diego, California. We inspect, we report, and we leave the repairs to whoever you trust with them.
What we do
One job, done properly
California requires most vehicles to pass a smog inspection at certain points — usually when registration is renewed, when a vehicle changes hands, or when a vehicle from another state is registered here for the first time.
Ready Set Smog performs that inspection and transmits the result to the state electronically. What we don't do is sell you the fix. As a test-only station, there is no version of your visit where finding a problem earns us more money.
Formerly V&T Smog. Now owned by Elex Noble and renamed Ready Set Smog. If you visited before under the previous name, the station is the same one — the name on the sign and the people running it have changed.
Test-only station. We inspect vehicles and report the results. We don't perform emissions repairs, and we don't process registration, title transfers or DMV paperwork. If a vehicle needs repairs, you can take the inspection report to the repair provider of your choice.
